With the lingering Covid-19 pandemic postponing, or outright canceling, festivals, concerts, and any gathering larger than 2 people, event producers are finding ways to still reach their fans. While Insomniac has postponed EDC Las Vegas until later in the year, they are still providing some entertainment in May with their Virtual Rave-a-thon May 15th – May 18th. This virtual festival will be streaming on Twitch, YouTube, Insomniac TV, and LittleStar. According to the their Facebook event page the virtual event will be featuring, “multiple stages, multiple channels, exclusive artist interviews, and much more…!”. In true Insomniac fashion, they will be bring some of the top EDM artist to the virtual stage including 12th Planet, Kaskade, Borgore, Claudevonstroke, David Guetta, Don Diablo, Sidepiece, Seven Lions, Vini Vici, Oliver Heldens, and a special NGHTMRE b2b Ghastly set.
This virtual rave-a-thon will also premier a new initiative which has Insomniac partnering with In Place of War, a charitable organization, which will help promote Rave Recovery, a relief fund created specifically for dance music fans, who have be impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
While nothing is quite as exciting as dancing with tens of thousands of fellow music lovers, this is sure to help lift the spirits of everyone who has been locked down for the last couple months.
